Exam Pattern
The UGC NET/JRF December 2024 exam consists of two papers:
Paper I: This is a general paper on teaching and research aptitude, which tests candidates’ logical reasoning, reading comprehension, and general awareness of the research process.
Paper II: This is subject-specific and assesses candidates on their knowledge of the specific subject they have chosen. There are more than 80 subjects available for the exam, ranging from Humanities and Social Sciences to Science and Engineering.
Both papers will be conducted in a computer-based format. Paper I consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, while Paper II consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Candidates will have 3 hours to complete both papers.
